How come you are not open like a retail bakery? 

Dulce Cakes & Desserts operates as a cake & dessert caterer.  We do not have any baked goods available for purchase same day as everything is made to order.  

WE DO NOT ACCEPT WALK-INS AT EITHER LOCATION.

What is the pricing for your cakes and desserts?

Our minimum order for our cakes is $200.

Our minimum dessert order is $150. 

 

How far in advance should I order a cake or desserts?

We suggest reserving your date a minimum of 2 weeks in advance. This ensures that your date is confirmed with us and cannot be given to someone else. The more notice, the better!

 

Do you offer delivery?

Yes, we offer delivery to NY, NJ and CT. A delivery fee applies based on mileage and the delivery route.

 

Are you a nut-free facility?

We are not a nut-free facility. Please let us know if you have any allergy concerns.

 

How do I make an appointment for a consultation?

We would be happy to meet with you to discuss your order!  Please call or email us and we can schedule a phone or in-person meeting. 

 

What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, credit cards, Zelle and Venmo.

What is the process for placing an order?

New customers can email us by submitting an Order Request Form. We will respond to your email with additional questions or information within 48-72 hours. Once all of the details are discussed, we will draft an order form for customer approval. After it is approved and the 50% retainer fee is received, the order is confirmed.

Why is there a retainer fee?

We require a retainer fee for order confirmation to secure the date in our calendar.

Can I request "last minute" orders (less than two weeks before desired date)? Is there a fee? 

We do accept "last minute" orders when we have availability. Please indicate if you are in need of a rush order when you submit an Order Request Form.

 

A rush order fee may be applied if the order is placed within 7 days of the desired delivery/pick-up date.

Do you ship any items?

YES! We do offer shipping for decorating kits, cookies, and some dessert items.
